Conn. GC Camp a Total Success

Inaugural Camp was a Great Experience

Connecticut GC had its first camp to prepare its athletes for the coming season. Held at Champions Arena in Cromwell it was a massive success.

“First and foremost”, says Duncan Fletcher of Conn. GC, “in Chris Cahill, we have an elite level skills instructor who has few peers. His ability to connect and work with players is simply unparalleled. Coupled with our other coaches, we are in for a fantastic season.”

Players experienced a couple of unique off-ice activities supported by the Copper Beech Institute, along with very challenging on ice components. Off-ice activities included:

Chris Cahill hard at work

  • Paper airplanes development contest

  • Yoga

  • Mindfulness & Meditation and a Lego Race

  • Handshaking - how to do it properly and effectively

  • A Game of Virus

  • Championship Rock Paper Scissors

  • Goal setting exercises

“Our goal is to build great people and good hockey players. We are well on our way and what we did this past week is simply a snap shot of what is to come”, said instructor, Chris Cahiil.
